Sooty the cat knew Reiki could help

It was the Saturday evening of my Reiki 1 workshop and I was relaxing at home.

My cat Sooty was lying on my lap and I was just touching his body with my hands. I was being careful not to touch his left ear as it was still sore from an injury he had received two days before.

I took my right hand off his body and just placed it on my lap with the palm facing upwards. Suddenly, Sooty lifted his head, turned it, and placed his sore ear into my hand.

I was very surprised, as he has never done that before. I continued touching him and he purred with contentment.
