Reiki 1 Workshop
Facilitated by Angela Gorman

This is the first level of Reiki training. This workshop is not academically challenging and is open to anyone who wants to make changes in their lives. People from all backgrounds and all ages are represented at these workshops.

The Healing Pages teaches this level over two days. All workshops are taught at weekends. They start at 10am and finish no later than 6pm. There are two coffee breaks and an hour lunch break each day. Lunch is not included in the price. These workshops are not residential. Participants go home each evening.

The cost of a Reiki 1 workshop is 250 euro. A deposit of 100 euro secures a place on the course. The balance of 150 euro is paid on the day.

During these two days you are initiated to the energy of Reiki. You are shown how to use this healing art on yourself and how to share it with family and friends. Angela presents all of the information simply and you are given a class manual as a reference guide. Those who attend receive a certificate.

Day 1 outline:

• The concept of energy healing discussed
• The chakras , energy field and endocrine system outlined
• The healing potentials of Reiki
• Reiki and how safe it is to use in all situations
• Energetic initiation to Reiki
• Illustration and practise of doing self Reiki treatments in class

Day 2 outline:

• Reiki and its many uses
• The history of Reiki
• Showing the group how to do chair treatments
• Showing the group how to do table treatments
• Time for offering Reiki to each other in class

There is much time devoted to answering people's questions each day.

Following this workshop you may attend the regular Reiki gatherings in your area. These are an opportunity to meet like minded people and a chance to practise offering Reiki to other people.

The Healing Pages encourages you to apply what is learnt at this workshop and to integrate it into your life before going on to do the next level, Reiki 2.

Reiki 1 Stories

"The Reiki 1 workshop brought about great and much needed changes in my life.

Since Reiki 1 I experienced and continue to experience clarity, awareness, calmness, confidence, courage and energy.
In a matter of weeks I had moved out of home and I started a new job. I left behind me highly stressful and chaotic environments and people.
I now work with beautiful children with special needs and share a house with three practicing Tibetan Buddhists!  I used to be a chronic procrastinator, but Reiki has helped me to focus on what I want and to bring it about. It has given me the motivation and confidence to follow my desires, wherever they may take me.

I am truly grateful for everything that Angela Gorman and Rosemary Lowe have taught me. I have personally experienced the potentials of Reiki energy and I know that this is only the beginning."

Since completing the Reiki 1 workshop with Angela, positive glimpses of talents and gifts of mine have surfaced.
I used to be a singer, but lost the confidence to sing over ten years ago. Since doing Reiki 1, I have sung in public and have no problem with this anymore.

I have been writing for over 30 years, short stories, poetry and monologues. However, I had not shown my work to anyone. Now I’m preparing poetry for an exhibition and have begun to contact publishers. I have been invited to do readings at a festival in May and have agreed to that also.
