I Quit smoking with Reiki
I came across Reiki for the first time about six months ago, and to be honest I was a little bit sceptical at first.
However, when I tried it I experienced a deep calmness together with a sense of empowerment that was quite surprising.
Two days after my Reiki 1 workshop, while during a brief visit to hospital I suddenly discovered I had no desire to smoke any more. I found this a little strange because I was not the type who was constantly trying to quit. I had been a regular 10 a day man for the past 20 years and had no conscious intention to stop.
Furthermore, I suffered no withdrawal symptoms or any of the common negative effects people often experience when they decide to break the smoking habit.
The normal ‘trigger’ points when one reaches for a cigarette, such as after a meal or with a cup of tea were absent too. Instead, I found life better than before, food tastes better and I am having more fun.
I have no idea how this happened but I reckon Reiki had a big part to play it, and I continue to practice this gentle, but extremely powerful healing art every day.
